Things you wish you could say...

Thanksgiving is coming up, the kids are excited to decorate for Christmas. There is so much joy in their faces as they anticipate the Christmas season. Today I told the girls if they helped clean up the house, we would decorate for Christmas tomorrow. I sent them upstairs to clean their room. They weren't too thrilled with this.

So instead of cleaning, Emily wrote a letter to Santa.

Dear Santa,

How have you been? How good are you? How are you doing? Are you fine? Are you great? Are you having fun? What are you doing today?

Love,

Emily

She said she didn't want to ask him for anything. Said she knew he was busy this time of year and wanted to make sure he was ok. Isn't she sweet?

So I figured Santa should write her back.

Dear Emily,

I'd be a hell of a lot better if you stopped whining got off your ass and cleaned your room.

Love

Santa

Too much?

Please share with me what some of the things you wish you could say are!!!

Weekend Craziness

At what point in your life do weekends become relaxing?

Saturday morning we got up and got the girls ready for bowling. Emily and Katie got a trophy... Rebekah did not. With Rebekah being such a perfectionist she was very upset. She whined and cried for hours. Finally Emily said "Oh just take mine!!!" Emily feels bad for Rebekah. She really wants to give her that trophy. She hates that her sister is upset. Such a sweet child.

After that it was off to lunch and then for my interview with Spiritus Paranormal. Spiritus investigated my house twice in 2008. I loved that they were able to debunk some of our "activity" and weren't afraid to do it. They never tried to pass something off as paranormal that wasn't. They put a lot of time and research into our home and most importantly talking to me and helping me deal with what was going on. They helped me calm down and I was able to help my children understand and deal with what was going on around them. It's been a dream of mine to join this group. I'd love to give back. Help another mother who is dealing with this. I'm honored to be a part of this team. Please check the team out on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/spiritusparanormal and facebook: www.facebook.com/spiritusparanormal Feel free to like the facebook page and subscirbe to the youtube page! :)

Today we headed out for a quick trip to Costco. The doll house Emily has been drooling over is there. They've always had plenty in stock so we weren't worried about getting right away. When we got there today there was one left. My mind was racing on how we were going to get this thing with Emily there. We also went in Nick's tiny car and didn't have room for it. I told the girls that daddy had to run to the car and get his cell phone so we were going to go get the stuff we needed. Looked at Nick and said "Buy it! Hide it somewhere!" Thankfully Costco put on hold for us and we can pick it up tomorrow. Another disaster avoided! There was no way that little girl could wake up on Christmas morning and not have that doll house!

After Costco we headed up to my grandmother's house for Thanksgiving dinner. My mom's side of the family always does it on the Sunday before Thanksgiving because my grandfather is a hunter and hunting season starts then. It was nice to be able to hang out with everybody. We don't get together nearly enough. We are one crazy bunch! The girls had a great time playing with their cousins. It was a good day. :)

For some reason unknown to all us parents in Anne Arundel County they've given the children an entire week off of school. They really should allow us to vote on that! So if ya'll don't hear from me in a couple of days... send help.

3 Teenage Boys

My sweet little trained puppy has apparently hit his "teenage years." He has gone from a sweet little baby to a total spaz! So now I'm stuck with my 3 teenagers. Blaze, Joshua, and Boogie. Comes to know surprise they are all 3 driving me nuts. So I thought I'd take this time to focus on all the good in them.

Blaze is my oldest child. When I look at him I just see my sweet baby boy. The one with the chunky cheeks, big brown eyes, curly hair, and who NEVER missed an opportunity to seek out trouble. My baby boy... my 6'3" baby boy. As Blaze grew up he matured very quickly. He is a typical first born. Very responsible, organized, and dependable. I came home from the store one day and walked in his room. It was empty. No furniture, no bed... nothing. When I questioned him on where all his stuff was he said "Joshua's room and the hallway" To which I replied "umm why?" He was straight faced as could be when he said "I had clean my floors." That's dedication to cleaning those floors! When he stared school he struggled quite a bit with reading and speech. After several years on an IEP he was able to overcome all of that. He was determined and he accomplished it. He is now an honor roll student in honors classes. I'm so proud of him and how far he's come.

Joshua is my second born. He is a beautiful perfect ADHD mess! Just like his mama! Joshua has so much personality. People LOVE him and easily make a connection with him. He has the ability to think outside of the box. He just views the world in a different way. I love this about him. He puts a positive spin on everything. When we first got Boogie we had an issue with him... (ew) eating his poop. While I was disgusted and frustrated Joshua looked at me with the biggest smile on his face and said "well... at least he's nice enough to clean up after himself." While he can be difficult sometimes he makes me laugh, and smile every single day.

Boogie is my adopted sixth child. On August 23, 2010 we decided we were going to get a dog from rescue and give him a forever home. We got Boogie at 8 weeks old. Sweet tiny little fluffy baby. He would climb in my shirt and cuddle up on my chest. Boogie loves to play. He has the most adorable underbite. It cracks us up to see those bottom teeth sticking out. Katie fell asleep on the couch today and Boogie was so thrilled to be able to cuddle and nap with her he jumped up right on her head. He settled into a comfortable position next to her, cleaned her feet (ew again), and then cuddled right up with her. He keeps my feet warm at night and in the morning when Boogie wakes up he lays down right by my face and sniffs my nose and licks my face. I love Boogie so much. I wonder how we went so long without the love of a dog in the house.

With 3 teenage boys in the house I take comfort in the fact that I've have been able to get one of them Neutered. That's one less phone call from a furious teenage girl's father I have to worry about.

I love my boys. I'll never give up on them and they will all have a forever home with me... even if I'd like to put them all on Ebay once in awhile.

Pet Peeves

Had a conversation with a friend today about Pet Peeves. It's always interesting to me to hear what really gets to other people. I figured I'd share some of mine and you could share some of yours!

1. Parents who think they need to be their child's best friend. You are the parent for crying out loud! It's time to step up to the plate. You let your kids walk all over you and they think the can walk all over me, my kids, my husband, their teacher, the police. If you are so freaking afraid of making your kid mad you shouldn’t be a parent. If I had a penny for all the times my kids were pissed at me I'd be rich woman. They get pissed because I am doing what's best for them. You don’t discipline and the rest of us are forced to deal with your crappy ass job at parenting. Stop letting your kids think they rule the world and the whole damn earth revolves about them and and what they want. DO YOUR FREAKING JOB!

2. People who pee on toilet seats and don't wipe it up. GROSS! I swear we should find these people, line them up and take turns pissing on their feet. Men... you can aim higher if you'd like.

3. People who seriously lack a sense of humor. I don't know if these people just don't get humor or are afraid to let loose some. Relax and laugh. Going along with this are people who can't laugh at themselves. I do crazy dumb stuff everyday. Laugh at yourself, let other people enjoy laughing with you. They are laughing AT you anyway... just join in.

4. People who cant accept an apology. We all mess up from time to time. If somebody realizes they've upset you and accepts that responsibility... just forgive already. You don't have to be best friends with them and buddy up... but forgive.

5. People who say they've "tried everything" for any situation. No you haven't. Do some research. Trust me, there are people out there smarter than you.

6. Last but not least... people like Ms. Repeat Offender that hold up the pick up and drop off line at school.

Ya'll knew that last one would be on there. So please share with me what pisses you off!

No, all my blogs are not going to be lists. Just doing a little get to know me first. I'll get deeper soon. I always say if you REALLY want to get to know someone, find something you disagree with them on.

10 Random things...

I'm new to this whole Blog experience. No clue what I'm doing. I figured as my first post I'd share some random things about myself... some of my crazy. :)

1. I'm afraid of balloons. Yes balloons. Scared to death of them. They totally freak me out.

2. I'm not a girly girl. Jeans and t shirt and I'm a happy girl. Never got much into hair and makeup. Don't get me wrong I do my hair and wear make up but it's only because I see no reason to walk around scaring the hell out of unsuspecting people.

3. Now I don't think this should be odd but I'm told it is. Don't pass out or anything. I love my husband. I respect my husband. I think he is the best man in the world. He will always be the best looking, sexiest, sweetest, and strongest man alive. I know I'm blessed far beyond what I deserve. Crazy huh?

4. I see potential and talent in other people but fail to see any in myself. If I believe in you I will bend over backwards to help and support you.

5. I have 5 kids and if I could I'd have 5 more.

6. I love my Snuggie. Yes, I said it. Don't judge me.

7. I'm a disorganized mess. I could not organize things if my life depended on it.

8. I can't stand it if I sense a lack of leadership in any given situation and have a tendency to take over.

9. I'm funny. I've been told my whole life how funny I am. It's one of my best qualities. I like being funny and making people laugh. Deep down inside I'd like to just once be the pretty one, the sexy one, or the my god I have to have a piece of her one. However funny is what I've been given so I make it work for me.

10. I love reality tv and trashy tv shows. LOVE THEM!!!!
